Established in 1967, the Burlington Housing Authority (BHA) provides safe, affordable housing for families, seniors and disabled individuals in Burlington, North Carolina through our non-profit entity, Burlington Development Corporation, an instrumentality of BHA. Through our partnership we provide housing services, facilitate supportive services, and life skills training to foster community and to enrich the lives of our residents.
BHA through our non-profit entity BDC Investment Communities LLC, manages Project Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) communities and in partnership with Asheboro Housing Authority administers a Project Based Voucher (PBV) community through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to assist low and moderate-income families and individuals.
In partnership, we work to empower our residents by supporting their academic, employment and family goals while implementing programming that creates communities to improve their overall well-being.
